4. Spiced Cocktails- Looking to spice up those cold weather cocktails? Add some to your favorite hot-toddy recipe.
5. Add the mix to your plain pancake or waffle batter for a new twist on breakfast.
6. Hot Buttered Spiced Apple Cider-Add 2 tablespoons butter to Hot Spiced Cider. Make ahead tip: You may chill cider and reheat to serve, or keep prepared cider warm in a crockery cooker on low-heat setting.
7. Maple Sliced Glazed Turkey- Dissolve 1/2 stick of butter, 1 cup of maple syrup and 1/2 package of Hot Spiced Cider Mix in small sauce pan. When Cider mix is dissolved and butter is melted, glaze the turkey under the skin with a pastry brush before cooking. In your last hour of cooking, reheat the rest of the syrup and baste the turkey every 15 minutes until you get a nice brown skin. Prepare the rest of the mix as directed with Apple Juice. Pour some of this in the bottom of your pan and save some to baste the turkey during its first hours of cooking. |
Hot Spiced Wine
1. "Glogg" (Scandinavian Christmas Drink)- Prepare mix as directed. Add 1/2 cup of raisins and 1/2 cup of almonds and enjoy. In Scandinavia (I'm from Denmark) we drink "Glogg" during the Christmas season. Just make hot spiced wine as directed, and add desired amount of raisins and almonds.
